Clayton County police are search for a driver in connection with a 110-mph crash that killed two people.
Police spokeswoman Sgt. Ashanti Marbury said Tuesday in an emailed statement to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution 22-year-old Jermil Smiley, of Riverdale, was going more than twice the 55 mph speed limit at the time of the two-vehicle crash on Nov. 5.
Marbury said speed was ruled to be the primary contributing factor in the deadly crash.
Police say 59-year-old Bennie Fuller and 16-year-old Morgan Cleaves were killed in the crash. Three passengers in the vehicle driven by Smiley were injured.
Marbury says Smiley is wanted on two counts of first-degree vehicular homicide and one count of reckless driving.
