Norfolk, VA : Student taken to hospital after school bus crash in Chesapeake on September 3 2016

One student went to the hospital as a precaution after a crash involving a school bus.

The bus crashed with a car on the Deep Creek Bridge about 8:45 a.m., said Officer Kelly Elliott, a police spokeswoman. The bus driver was not cited.

The bus was going to Hugo Owens Middle with 40 students on board, Elliott said. It was cleared to drive after the crash and took the students to school.
