A woman is dead after a three-car crash in a southbound stretch of Interstate 75 near Fowler Avenue, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Jamie Lynn Pierantoni, 38, of Gibsonton was driving her 2015 Chevrolet Malibu south on the highway in the center lane. A 2001 Toyota Tundra was in the inside lane and a Volkswagon Passat in the merge lane.
When Pierantoni changed lanes, the back of her car collided with the front of the Toyota, the FHP reported. Pierantoni's car was redirected and then hit the rear of the Passat.

The Toyota left the roadway and overturned, but the driver sustained only minor injuries, troopers said. The Passat came to a stop, and that driver also sustained minor injuries.
