Odenton, MD : Two people injured in a traffic accident near Charter Oaks Boulevard on Monday afternoon, February 1, 2016

Two people were taken to hospitals following a traffic accident Monday afternoon in Odenton, county fire officials said.

Firefighters responded to the 1600 block of Annapolis Road, near Charter Oaks Boulevard, around 2 p.m. where they found a two-vehicle collision in which drivers of both vehicles had been injured.

A man, believed to be in his late 40s, was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with serious, but not believed to be life-threatening injuries. The other driver, a man believed to be in his early 30s was taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie with minor injuries, fire officials said.

Additional information was not immediately available Tuesday morning.
