Pensacola, FL : A woman was seriously injured in a head-on collision with a school bus at Ten Mile Road On Thursday, June 30th, 2016

A woman was seriously injured Thursday in a head-on collision with a school bus, according to a release from the Florida Highway Patrol.

About 2 p.m., Carolyn Robertson, 72, of Cantonment was driving her Toyota westbound on Ten Mile Road with passenger Abigail Robertson, 11, of Orlando.

A school bus driven by Charmaine Mixon, 48, of Pensacola was stopped facing eastbound on Ten Mile Road in the left turn lane.

The Toyota traveled through the intersection of Ashton Brosnaham Road and traveled directly into the front of the bus.

The school bus had no children on-board at the time of the crash.

Carolyn Robertson was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital with serious injuries.

All parties were wearing seat belts.
