Claiborne County, MS : 66-year-old Charles Willis died in a single car crash on MS 547 near in Claiborne County on Tuesday night, February 24, 2015

MHP is investigating a fatal car wreck that happened last night.

On Tuesday night there was a single car accident on MS 547 near Tilman Rd in Claiborne County.

Trooper Eric Henry says a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 66-year-old Charles Willis was traveling northbound when he crossed over the southbound lane off the roadway and struck a tree.

Willis died on scene. Officials say he was not wearing a seatbelt.

The accident is under investigation.
