Van Cleave , MS :Head-on collision kills Jackson County truck driver on Saturday , June 13th 2015

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office says two trucks were involved in a head-on collision Saturday, killing one of the drivers.They got a 911 call about an accident on Paige Bayou View Road just before 6:00 pm in Vancleave. The sheriff says 41-year-old Travis Mallette of Vancleave was driving a black Ford Ranger pickup truck that collided head-on with a Ford F150 driven by 32-year-old Jerrod Thorton, also of Vancleave.Mallett was pronounced dead on the scene. Thorton was taken to Gulfport Memorial Hospital. He's expected to be released on Monday.
