Sunbury,PA : Police identify woman injured in crash on Wednesday, July 12, 2017
A Shamokin woman is in critical condition following a crash Wednesday morning near Shamokin.
Mount Carmel Township Police have released the name 19-year-old Olivia Miller, of Shamokin, who was ejected from her vehicle during the crash along Route 901 at 2 a.m. Wednesday.
Mount Carmel Township Police Chief Brian Hollenbush released the ID this morning.
The child in Miller's vehicle was identified as a 4-year-old also from Shamokin, he added. However, the chief said he is no longer sure if Miller is the child's parent.
Miller and the child were taken to the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville via Life Flight after they were ejected from their vehicle during a crash.
Geisinger Medical Center officials said Miller was transferred to a burn unit at the Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown.
A Leigh Valley Health Network official said Miller is currently in critical condition.
