New Point , VA : Crews respond to two-vehicle crash, extrication in Newport News August 31, 2016

Newport News emergency crews responded to a crash on J Clyde Morris Boulevard, near Forrest Drive.

The crash was reported about 6:35 a.m. and involved two vehicles, according to a dispatcher.

As of 7 a.m., westbound lanes of J Clyde Morris Boulevard, heading towards Jefferson were blocked at the scene as two vehicles were being prepared to be towed away.

At the scene, a sedan with damage to its front end and an SUV flipped onto its left side were visible. The SUV's windshield had been cut out, and its left turn signal remained blinking at the scene.
