Battle Ground boy dies in plane crash

An 11-year-old Battle Ground boy died in a Saturday night plane crash in eastern South Dakota, authorities said. Stefan Kemppainen, a student at Amboy Middle School, was in a single-engine plane piloted by a relative, Clark Kopman, 45, of rural Bryant. Also aboard was 11-year-old Sawyer Kopman. All died in the crash.
