Cadiz, KY : One person died and two injured after car crash on US 68 in Trigg County on Thursday, Sep 10, 2015
One person was killed and two others were injured after a car crash in Trigg Co., Kentucky on Thursday.
Officials say Linda Caldwell, 77, of Cadiz, was traveling US 68 near the 21 mile marker when she attempted to turn to go north bound.
The driver of another car, Shannon Burcham, was driving east bound on US 68.
Burcham struck the rear drivers side of Caldwell's car.
The car came to final rest in the median and Burcham brought his vehicle to a controlled stop on the side of the road still east bound.
Caldwell was air lifted from the scene by Air Evac to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
Rebecca Reddick, 13, a passenger in the vehicle with Caldwell, was also airlifted by Air Evac and taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
A third passenger, Sarah Reddick, also 13,, was partially ejected out the rear window and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Trigg County Coroner. Burcham was not injured.
Next of kin were notified by the Trigg County Coroner.
US 68 around the 22 mile marker was shut down for a short time, for clean up and investigation.
The investigation is continuing by KSP.
Trooper Jody Cash was assisted on scene by Trigg County Sheriff's Department, Cadiz Police Department, Trigg County EMS, Trigg County Coroner, Trigg County Rescue, Cadiz Fire Department and the State Highway Department.
