MEMPHIS, TN : 2 dead in separate car crashes on I-40 on Sunday, 25th September 2016

Two people died in two car crashes on Interstate 40 early Sunday morning.

Memphis Police Department said the first crash happened around 2:30 a.m. near the Sycamore View exit. Two cars were involved in the crash; one of them caught fire.

While police were working the first crash, a car crashed into the back of an 18-wheeler. The driver of the car died in the crash.

Names of the victims have not been released. It's also unclear if the other drivers involved in the crashes were injured.
