Rutland, VT : Three Canadians injured, escape flames after crash in Vermont on Sunday September 4 2016
State Police say three people from Quebec were injured in a car crash in Vermont, but they all avoided being burned when the vehicle burst into flames.
Troopers say the three were in a car that slid sideways off Interstate 89 in Highgate before hitting a tree and rolling onto its side Sunday evening.
Troopers say one of the three occupants was ejected and suffered the most serious injuries. The other two were belted in but got out before the fire.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers were first on scene and began to deliver medical aid to the car’s occupants. An investigation is continuing, State Police said.
