COLLETON COUNTY, SC : 1 dead, 2 injured following crash in Colleton County on Tuesday, 6th February 2024

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed one and injured two on U.S. Highway 17A.
The collision occurred Tuesday night around 9:08 p.m. approximately two miles north of Cottageville.
Master Trooper Brandon J. Bolt says a 2020 Ford van was traveling north on Hwy 17A when they were struck by a 2016 Lincoln sedan traveling south and crossing over the center line. The Ford then went off the right side of the road and overturned.
The Ford van driver, sole occupant, was injured and taken to a local hospital. The Lincoln sedan driver died at the scene and the passenger was injured and taken to a local hospital.
