WEBER COUNTY, UT : Car crash, damaged power pole closes Ogden Canyon for several hours on Thursday, 22nd November 2018
Ogden Canyon was closed for several hours Thursday after a car crash.
Police were notified of a single-car crash that occurred at 5:55 a.m. after a car crashed into a power pole in the canyon, according to Weber County Sheriff's Office patrol Sgt. Stephanie Tatton.
The crash damaged a pole and caused power lines to hang over the roadway, Tatton said. Police and Utah Department of Transportation officials closed both lanes of the roadway until the lines were able to be repaired. Repair crews from Rocky Mountain Power were called to the scene to repair the damaged pole.
The road was reopened at 10:21 a.m. according to police.
No injuries were reported in the crash, and even though the power pole was damaged, there were no reports of homes losing power as a result of the crash, Tatton said.
