Atlanta, GA : Woman dies from injuries in Car crash on Friday August 7th 2015

A Bristol, Tennessee woman who in June was involved in a car crash in Georgia has died, her family said early Friday.
Lindsey Maiden, 23, had been in an induced coma at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, since the June 26 wreck along Interstate 85. According to her brother, Cody Maiden, she traveled to Atlanta to visit the zoo and aquarium with her friend, Heather Crumley, and Crumley’s daughter, Madelyn.
There appeared to be an issue with a tire and she lost control of the vehicle, her brother said. The vehicle then caught fire.
All three suffered extensive burns and were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. Maiden had second- and third-degree burns covering more than 80 percent of her body.
Crumley and her daughter returned to Bristol a couple of weeks ago.
"We’re healing," Crumley said at a prayer vigil held Aug. 1. "It’s just a slow process, but we’re getting there, every day."
After the crash, a Facebook page called Prayers for Lindsey Maiden was created. It’s gained more than 2,000 likes. Separate GoFundMe accounts were also created to raise money for the three. By Friday evening, 92 people had donated a total of $4,530
for Maiden.
"Lindsey Maiden’s fight is over," Maiden’s mother, Lisa Maiden, said in a statement on Facebook. "She is now able to rest. I know she felt the compassion that came with each prayer lifted up for her. We thank you all for that. Our family has suffered a great loss. We were blessed to have her for a short time and she will remain in our hearts forever."
Last weekend, about 100 people gathered at Steele Creek Park for a prayer vigil and balloon release. Crumley, who organized the event, and her daughter were present. Maiden’s parents watched the event via Face Time from Georgia, where they remained by their daughter’s side.
