Murfreesboro, TN : One person injured on Interstate 24 in Murfreesboro crash on Tuesday afternoon

A wreck involving a commercial vehicle closed lanes and slowed traffic on Interstate 24 in Murfreesboro Tuesday afternoon. The crash happened at 2:50 p.m. near mile marker 72, not far from the State Route 840 exit. Officials said at least one person was injured. LifeFlight was called to the scene but an update on the patient's condition was not immediately known. Roadways reopened several hours later but slowed the evening commute for many.
