GIRARD, PA : Albion woman killed in Girard Township crash on April, Thursday 6th 2017
The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a one-vehicle crash on Route 5 in western Erie County that killed an Albion woman Thursday morning.
State police identified the victim as Jeri Harrington, 61.
The crash happened Thursday at about 10:10 a.m. in the 9000 block of West Lake Road in Girard Township, according to state police.
Police said Harrington was traveling east on West Lake Road when she lost control of her vehicle, veered off the south side of the road and struck a tree.
Rescue crews freed Harrington from the wreckage.
Harrington was killed instantly and was pronounced dead at the scene, Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook said.
Cook ruled the death as accidental and said Harrington died from multiple blunt-force trauma injuries.
