Suffolk, VA : One dead, two injured in crash on Nansemond Parkway in Suffolk on Monday evening, June 13, 2016

Authorities are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Monday evening in the 2700 block of Nansemond Parkway.

Just after 5:45 p.m. emergency personnel responded to a call of a head-on collision between a Hyundai Accent and a Honda Accord.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s name hasn’t been released.

A man and woman received emergency medical assessment and treatment at the scene.

The woman was airlifted to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life-threatening injuries and the man was driven to Sentara with non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
