GIBSON CITY, IL : A Gibson City woman has died following a two-vehicle crash near Dewey on Wednesday, 6th June 2018

A Gibson City woman has died following a two-vehicle crash near Dewey in rural Champaign County.

Barbara J. Roth, 58, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at the intersection of county roads 3200 N and 1100 E at 6:55 p.m. Wednesday, said authorities. The location is about 1 ½ miles northeast of Dewey.

The Champaign County Sheriff’s Department is investigating, but a crash report indicated Roth was driving a sport utility vehicle north on 1100 E and entered the intersection, colliding with a pickup truck driven by Michael Carlson, 55, of Dewey.
