NORFOLK, VA : Driver dead passenger hurt following crash in Norfolk on Saturday, 3rd February 2024

A Richmond man died following a single-vehicle crash in Norfolk on Saturday night, the Norfolk Police Department said.

The accident happened shortly before 10 p.m. in the 8500 block of Chesapeake Boulevard. First responders received a call that a car had hit a tree.

The driver, 23-year-old Jeffery Pleasant, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, while a passenger also suffered minor injuries.
