A man is in critical condition after being thrown from his motorcycle during a crash Friday morning on Interstate 15.

At 11 a.m., a man on a motorcycle was driving in the far left lane on northbound Interstate 15 near the Clearfield exit when a minivan changed lanes and sideswiped his motorcycle, according to Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Lawrence Hopper.

POLICE & FIRE: Harrisville police ask for help identifying shooting suspects in security video

The motorcycle rider was thrown off his vehicle in the collision. He was not wearing a helmet, Hopper said. The man was transported via medical helicopter to a local hospital in critical condition. Hopper did not have any additional information about the man or his condition as of 5 p.m. Friday.
