Tinicum, PA : Driver hit with DUI after watery crash on Monday afternoon, May 16, 2016
The driver of a pick-up truck that flipped over a guardrail while exiting I-95 Monday afternoon is being charged with driving while under the influence, according to a Pennsylvania State Police incident report.
Seantai L. Young, 41, of Philadelphia, allegedly failed to negotiate the off-ramp at exit 10, hitting the guardrail and a post before landing wheels-down in a marsh. Tinicum Township Police Superintendent Stephen Edmiston said the water was only about 1 or 2 feet deep at that spot and that Young was never in any danger of drowning.
Rescue crews were able to extract the driver, who did not have any obvious signs of injury, according to Edmiston. The police report indicated Young was transported to Crozer-Chester Medical Center with an injury of unknown severity. The truck was removed by Iacona’s Towing.
