LUGOFF, SC : 1 dead after fatal car crash near the Kershaw/Fairfield county line on Friday, 2nd August 2019

The Kershaw County Coroner has identified the victim of a deadly crash that happened Friday.
According to Coroner David West, 47-year-old Mark Hollis died in the collision, which happened at noon near the Kershaw/Fairfield county line.
SCHP confirmed two cars were involved in the crash. Another person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is unknown. However, West was able to confirm Hollis was traveling east on Ridgeway Road in a 1998 Chevrolet truck. A 2000 GMC truck was traveling west when officials said the vehicle cross the center line and hit the Chevrolet.
By about 2 p.m. emergency crews had cleared the scene. Traffic is flowing as normal.
Kershaw County officials and South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating the fatal crash.
