THOMASVILLE, GA : Local woman dies in Maddox Road crash on Wednesday, September 27th 2017
A 41-year-old Thomasville woman died Wednesday night in a traffic crash on Maddox Road.
A 2007 International tractor-trailer driven by Lloy Edward White, 47, Baconton, was leaving a private driveway to travel south on Maddox about 8:20 p.m.
Kristie Denise Miller, a Thomasville resident, was traveling south on Maddox near Ga. 188, driving a 2012 Nissan Versa.
The Nissan struck the tractor-trailer, said Sgt. First Class Tommy Peeples, Thomasville Post 12 Georgia State Patrol commander.
"It was an angle impact," said Peeples, adding that Miller died in the crash. "It appears the driver of the tractor-trailer failed to yield the right-of-way while entering the roadway."
The crash is being investigated.
Charges are pending on the tractor-trailer driver.
