2 Cedar Rapids Residents Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash

A crash along a stretch of road right next to the Cedar River sent two Cedar Rapids residents to the hospital with what police say are non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators say it happened just before 3:00 p.m. in the 5600 block of Ellis Boulevard NW.

They say 26-year-old Marcus DeVore was driving east with a 20-year-old woman in the car when the vehicle missed a right-hand curve and became airborne. The vehicle landed across a fence on its top.

The Linn County Sheriff's office is investigating the crash and says charges are pending.
