A woman suffered minor injuries after crashing her car while trying to avoid an ODOT construction crew on I-75 in Harrison Township.

Crews were called out around 2:15 a.m. Tuesday to northbound I-75 near Needmore Road after a driver became entrapped after crashing into a ditch.

Troopers from the Dayton Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol say the woman driver did not notice a construction crew working in the right lane she was traveling in. The woman quickly switched to the left lane, then lost control and crashed when trying to get back to the right lane.

Troopers say the car ended up on its top, but the woman was transported to Miami Valley Hospital, only suffering a non-life threatening neck injury.

The woman will be cited with failure to control but further citations are pending. Troopers do not know if speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.
