A man from Covington has been charged with reckless driving after a deadly head-on crash in Augusta County on April 6.
Virginia State Police (VSP) says the crash occurred at 11 p.m. on Route 612 when a 22-year-old Nicholas A. Mann was driving a 2016 Honda Accord. Troopers said Mann allegedly crossed the center line and slammed head-on into a Subaru.
The driver of the Subaru was identified as 71-year-old Karen Y. Kennedy, from Fort Defiance. She was rushed to the hospital where she later died from her injuries.
