Town of Rutland , WI :Three people injured and another woman faced charges after two-car collision on Wednesday night ,June 3rd 2015
A Madison woman faces charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated following a two-car collision that sent three people to the hospital Wednesday night, according to the Dane County Sheriff’s Department.
The incident happened near the White Rock Tavern on U.S. Highway 14 south of Oregon around 8 p.m. Wednesday.
According to the sheriff’s department, Jan Wille, 55, pulled out of the parking lot of the tavern but failed to yield the right of way to a car going northbound on 14 driven by Edward Jackson, 20, of Madison.
The resulting crash required Jackson to be flown to UW Hospital by Medflight with serious, non-life-threatening injuries. Wille, along with the passenger in the front seat of her car, June Shaw, 61, of Waunakee, were also taken to UW Hospital with serious non-life-threatening injuries.
Wille was arrested on suspicion of causing injury by operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant-1st offense. Seatbelts appear to have been worn
by all the occupants of the cars. Airbags also deployed in both vehicles.
