MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY : Semi crash blocks Blandville Road/US Highway 62 in McCracken County on Monday, 24th July 2023

U.S. 62 reopened Monday afternoon, July 24 at the site of a semi crash at the 5.8 mile marker in western McCracken County.
According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the crash along U.S. 62 Blandville Road near the Childress Road intersection immediately west of the Railroad Overpass was clear and normal traffic flow restored.
According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, a semi crashed and flipped on the 9000 block of Blandville Rd.
KYTC said the truck was loaded with car parts that had to be removed. The process went more quickly than expected, allowing the road to reopen about two hours early.
