Orting, WA : Motorcyclist dies in crash in Orting Friday afternoon on May 16, 2014

A motorcyclist died in a crash in Orting Friday afternoon.

The motorcyclist hit a log and was thrown into a creek down a steep ravine about a quarter mile down a trail in an area called Voights Creek Canyon. The current swept him downstream.

Responding emergency workers tried to give the driver CPR, but he did not survive. A medical examiner was en route to the scene.
