Rutland,VT : No serious injuries in Bristol rollover crash on November, Saturday 18th 2017
A local man was issued a civil violation after a crash that damaged his truck and caused a slight injury to his hand on Saturday.
Mitchell Palmer, 19, of Bristol, was driving a 2000 Chevrolet S-10 north on Plank Road on Saturday. Palmer, who had two passengers in the truck, lost control of the S-10 while attempting to negotiate a curve, police said.
The truck spun sideways and then left the roadway. Palmer’s truck ultimately overturned onto its right side before coming to rest.
As a result of the crash, Palmer sustained a laceration to his right hand but neither passenger was injured.
The crash was reported around 4:20 p.m.
A Vermont civil violations complaint for “unreasonable and imprudent speed for conditions and hazards” was issued to Palmer.
The crash happened on a gravel road that police said was dry at the time.
