Topeka, KS : Pickup trucks collide Friday in injury crash on S.W. 61st near Washburn Rural on Friday,13th April 2018
Two pickup trucks collided Friday afternoon just west of Washburn Rural High School, and multiple people suffered injuries, though none appeared to be life-threatening, authorities said.
The wreck was reported at 2:41 p.m. on S.W. 61st, about a half-mile west of S.W. Wanamaker Road.
Initial indications were that three people were hurt.
A Shawnee County sheriff’s deputy at the scene said a supervisor for that office would send out a news release later Friday sharing more information about the crash. The Capital-Journal had received no such release by 9 p.m. Friday.
A police officer for Auburn Washburn Unified School District 437 was blocking westbound traffic on S.W. 61st at Wanamaker.
