Bainbridge Island, WA : One driver was injured but two others escaped injury in a three-car crash on Wednesday, 27th June 2018

One driver was injured but two others escaped injury in a three-car crash on Highway 305 late Wednesday afternoon.

The collision happened on Highway 305 at Totten Road, just west of the Masi Shop, shortly after 4 p.m. June 27. A 1999 Toyota Camry driven by a 42-year-old Suquamish woman pulled out onto Highway 305 from Lemola Shore Road without yielding to traffic when the Toyota was struck by a 44-year-old Kennewick man in a Dodge Grand Caravan van who was heading south on 305.

The Camry then hit a 2006 Mercedes-Benz SLK driven by a 73-year-old Bainbridge man that was on the other side of the highway on Totten Road.

The Kennewick and Bainbridge drivers were not injured. The driver of the Camry was transported to the hospital by an aid car.

The Camry driver was allegedly impaired, according to the Washington State Patrol, and was charged with driving under the influence.

Both the Toyota and the Dodge were towed from the scene, and the highway was partially blocked for more than 90 minutes after the crash.
