Topeka, KS : A two-vehicle crash on Wednesday, August 16, 2017
A Topeka man was transported to a local hospital following a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon on westbound Interstate 70 at Carnahan Avenue in East Topeka.
The incident was reported at 3:50 p.m.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol’s crash log, Wade L. Uhl, 22, was distracted as he entered onto I-70 from Rice Road. The 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix he was driving struck a guardrail. That caused the Pontiac to enter traffic and he was struck by a 2007 Toyota Tundra. The passenger car came to a stop in a ditch off the highway.
Uhl was transported with injuries not believed to be life-threatening, according to Topeka police. He was wearing a seat belt.
