Columbus,OH : All lanes reopened on westbound I-270 after crash on June, tuesday 13th 2017

Both lanes of Interstate 270 westbound at Interstate 71 on the South Side were closed for about 2 1/2 hours Tuesday afternoon due to a crash involving a tractor-trailer and a car.

The crash apparently occurred during a rainstorm that moved through about 3:30 p.m. ODOT and emergency vehicles blocked the two marked lanes, initially forcing traffic over to the wide right-hand berm.

Traffic was later funneled off I-270 onto the parallel service road while tow crews removed the tractor-trailer wreckage. There were also gawker slowdowns on the eastbound side of I-70.

Traffic was flowing freely again by about 6 p.m.
