A man and? a woman were taken to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after their vehicles collided on U.S Highway 83 near Stapleton.
About 4:15 p.m., a man driving a tan 1995 Chevrolet pickup was on U.S. Highway 92 and crossed U.S. Highway 83. The pickup and a southbound 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe collided, said Logan County Sheriff Sean Carson. The Tahoe spun 180 degrees before stopping on Highway 83.
Carson said it was unclear whether the man failed to stop or had stopped but didn’t? see the Tahoe.
The man and a woman driving the Tahoe were taken by ambulance to Great Plains Health in North Platte. The North Platte Fire Department assisted Stapleton Volunteer Fire Department in responding to the crash.
Carson said the two were the sole occupants of each vehicle, and each was conscious and breathing at the time of transport. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, Carson said. The extent of their injuries was unknown.
Other details about the wreck were still under investigation.
