A truck driver from Springfield was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 3:24 p.m. Monday on Missouri Highway 39, about 3 miles north of Jenkins in Barry County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Anthony S. Costa, 44, was taken to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield with moderate injuries.
Costa was driving a northbound truck rig that ran off the road and overturned, the patrol said.
• A Wyandotte, Oklahoma, woman suffered minor injuries in a traffic accident at 11:40 p.m. Sunday on Route JJ, 3 miles south of Carl Junction in Jasper County, according to the state patrol.
Nelana Pickup, 31, was transported to Mercy Hospital Joplin.
According to the patrol, her northbound vehicle ran off the road and into a ditch.
• Both drivers were injured in a two-vehicle collision at 10:12 p.m. Sunday on U.S. Highway 69 near the junction with Centennial Street at Pittsburg, Kansas, according to the Crawford County (Kansas) Sheriff's Department.
Jose Rueda, 35, and Gary Chrissman, 54, both of Pittsburg, were taken by ambulance to Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, with Rueda later being flown by medical helicopter to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin.
The sheriff's office said Rueda was driving a northbound car that crossed the centerline and struck Chrissman's southbound car head-on.
