Aspinwall, PA : Three people injured in Washington Township wreck on Saturday evening, July 16, 2016
A head-on crash on Route 286 in Washington Township on Saturday evening left two adults and a child injured, according to an emergency dispatcher.
The accident occurred just before 6 p.m. at the intersection of Route 286 and Branthoover Lane.
The injured were taken by ambulance to Forbes Hospital in Monroeville. Their identities and conditions were not immediately available.
Washington Township police said a vehicle was coming from Murrysville, heading east, which they believe was speeding and crossed into the other lane.
Police said the vehicle clipped one oncoming car and then hit a second one head-on.
The injured hurt were in the second car hit, and included the driver and his son. Police described their injuries as minor.
Route 286 was closed for about an hour as the wreckage was cleared and spilled fluids cleared from the roadway.
