Portland, OR : One person dead in crash south of Wilsonville Sunday evening, July 24, 2016

Members of the Marion County Crash Team and Oregon State Troopers were on the scene investigating a fatal accident involving two vehicles south of Wilsonville Sunday evening.

Law enforcement says early indicators show a passenger car failed to stop at the intersection of Ehlen Road NE and Butteville Road NE and collided with a truck pulling a horse trailer traveling westbound.

The passenger of the car died on the scene and driver, who was seriously injured, was life flighted to a hospital in Portland. The occupants of the truck were taken to local hospitals and are expected to live. The two horses that were in the trailer at the time of the accident are being cared for by veterinarians on the scene.

Officials expect the intersection will be closed in all directions for the next several hours.
