Pasadena, CA : Driver killed and three others injured a violent collision between a Ford Mustang and an SUV on Wednesday morning, March 30, 2016

Pasadena authorities say a driver was killed and three others were injured a violent collision between a Ford Mustang and an SUV.

Investigators say excessive speed appears to be a factor in the crash Wednesday morning that left the Mustang wrapped around a utility pole.

Fire spokeswoman Lisa Derderian says the person who died was in the Mustang. She says three others in the Mustang were hurt, as was one person in the SUV.

The conditions of the survivors were not immediately known.
