Naples, FL : Three injured in Estero crash on Wednesday morning, January 4, 2017

A two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning injured three and blocked northbound Three Oaks Parkway for more than an hour.

A report from the Lee County Sheriff Office said a 2003 silver Honda CRV driven by Catherine Schivley, 67, of Lake Orion, Mi., turned into the northbound lanes of Three Oaks and into the path of a 2014 silver Toyota Venza being driven north on Three Oaks by Carla Enriquez, 34, of Bonita Springs.

The LCSO report said that a passenger in the Schivley SUV said they were turning from Copperleaf Boulevard left onto Three Oaks.

Enriquez told deputies she lost control on wet pavement when she braked.

Schivley was taken as a trauma patient to Lee Memorial Hospital and was in critical condition Wednesday evening. Enriquez and a passenger in the first SUV, George Schivley, was also taken to Lee Memorial.

A small fire in Enriquez's SUV was put out by Estero Fire and Rescue.

The crash knocked Enriquez's SUV into the curb, the median and a tree.
