Providence, RI: Man killed in motorcycle crash on I-95 on Saturday, July 25th 2015

Rhode Island State Police say a Cumberland man was killed in a crash on I-95 in Providence late Saturday night.Emergency crews were called to the scene on the southbound side of the highway near exit 22 around 11:40 p.m..Authorities tell Eyewitness News 23-year old Kerlence Pierre lost control of his motorcycle, and hit another car after going down on the roadway. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but police say it appears speed played a factor.Officials say Pierre was wearing his helmet at the time of the accident. No one else was hurt.Two lanes of the highway were closed for approximately 90 minutes while State Police investigated and cleared the scene.
