Canton,OH : Canton woman seriously injured in Everhard Road crash on November, Tuesday 14th 2017
A 25-year-old 14th Street NW woman driving a 2002 Dodge Caravan was seriously injured Tuesday in a four-car crash in front of the Perkins Restaurant on Everhard Road NW, about 400 feet west of Munson Street.
Troopers with the Ohio Highway Patrol’s Canton post were called at 11:26 a.m. Tuesday to the site, where the woman had pulled from a parking lot into the path of a 2008 Ford F-250 pickup truck driven by a 49-year-old East Canton man, said Lt. Leo Shirkey of the Patrol.
The van went off the right side of the road, overturned and struck a tree as the truck continued on, striking a parked car in the restaurant parking lot. Shirkey said debris from the van also struck another parked car in the parking lot.
The man was taken to Mercy Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, and the woman to Aultman Hospital with injuries described as incapacitating, Shirkey said.
She was later cited for failure to yield from a private drive.
The investigation into the crash continued on Wednesday.
