Detroit Lakes,MN : Two hurt, one airlifted, after head-on crash near Toad Lake on May, Tuesday 1st 2018

Two women suffered serious injuries in a head-on crash Tuesday morning on Highway 34 east of Toad Lake in Becker County.

One driver, Cindy Marie Swedberg, 59, of Blackduck, suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash, and was airlifted to Fargo, according to the State Patrol.


The other driver, Jackie Marie Post, 49, of Frazee suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and was taken to Essentia St. Mary's Hospital in Detroit Lakes, the Patrol said.

Swedberg was westbound on Highway 34 in a 2012 Honda CR-V sports utility vehicle.

Post was eastbound in a 2017 Kia Sorento sports utility vehicle. They collided on the eastbound shoulder.

The crash was reported about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday on dry pavement at mile marker 55 in Toad Lake Township. Becker County deputies assisted at the scene.
