HAYWARD, CA : Driver killed in crash into Caltrans vehicle on April, Saturday 1st 2017

A driver died after crashing into the back of an unoccupied Caltrans truck early Saturday morning, multiple sources reported.

The California Highway Patrol confirmed that the crash was reported at 3:12 a.m. on southbound Interstate 880 near Winton Avenue. Efforts to resuscitate the driver at the scene failed, the CHP reported.

The driver veered on the highway and crashed into the parked truck, according to Channel 7.

The CHP did not have further details about the accident.
