Bismarck, ND : Truck accident causes spill near Williston wetland on Wednesday, October 4, 2017
State health officials are monitoring cleanup at a drainage and wetland near Williston where produced water spilled Wednesday.
The North Dakota Department of Health reported a truck accident caused about 110 barrels of the energy byproduct to spill near the intersection of U.S. Highway 2 and 58th Street West. Wind River Oil Services operated the truc.
An estimated 105 barrels were recovered, with an undetermined amount flowing northeast off the site to affect the drainage and wetland. Recovery and cleanup has continued as state health personnel have inspected and continue monitoring the site.
