Joplin, MO : Five people injured in a Head-on accident on Highway 86, south of Granby on Saturday, March 18, 2017
A driver and four passengers, all of Neosho, were all injured in a two-car head-on collision at 10:22 p.m. Saturday on Highway 86, 2 miles south of Granby, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Hunter N. Lombardo, 18, and her four passengers — Taelyn B. Danner, an infant; Maximus L. Norris, 1; Kristopher K. Jackson-Shearer, 2; and Kira J. Shearer, 19 — all received injuries ranging from minor to moderate. They were transported to Mercy Hospital Joplin by ambulance.
According to the patrol, an eastbound car driven by Amber T. McCully, 17, of Stella, struck Lombardo's westbound vehicle head-on. McCully was not injured.
• A Dearborn man was hurt in an apparent off-roading accident at 2 a.m. Saturday on private property outside Jane, the state patrol said.
Vernon Williams' Jeep overturned as it was climbing a rock. The 56-year-old was taken to Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas.
