Red Bluff, CA : Fatal collision occurs Sunday on Round Valley Road in Paskenta area on Sunday, 4th September 2016

A fatal collision occurred Sunday on Round Valley Road east of Modflat Road in the Paskenta area involving a Santa Rosa woman.

Jheri Ranee Soldate, 37, was driving her 1996 Toyota eastbound on Round Valley Road at an unknown rate of speed when she made a hard right turn causing the vehicle to run off the roadway up onto a dirt embankment, according to a press release from the California Highway Patrol.

Sliding sideways the vehicle overturned in a sideways roll in a northeasterly direction across the entire road and up the dirt embankment on the north side of the road, the release said.

As the vehicle overturned, Soldate was ejected and struck a barbed wire fence. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The vehicle struck the same barbed wire fence and came to rest upside down on the top of the dirt embankment on the north side of the road, facing a northerly direction, according to the release.
