APPLE VALLEY, CA : Man killed in Apple Valley scooter crash identified in the 20000 block of Bear Valley Road on Monday, 1st October 2018

Officials said a 41-year-old man died when he was struck by a tow truck and thrown off his scooter early.

San Bernardino County Coroner’s Division officials said Kimsan Mao, of Victorville, was killed in the crash, which occurred in the 20000 block of Bear Valley Road at 1:16 a.m. that morning.

Officials said Mao “rode across Bear Valley Road into the westbound lanes” on his black Vespa scooter, directly into the path of a G&M Towing truck.

Mao was ejected from the scooter upon impact. He was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
